The Father Show Resource Program will be hosting its annual Father of the Year celebration in June 2017.
This event will honor men in (3) three categories. Those categories are:
- Father of the Year – a dad that has exemplified fatherhood.
- Young Father of the Year – a young man from the age of 18-25 years old that has step up to the plate as a father.
- Mentor of the Year – a man that has given of himself as a mentor to fathers, and or kids.
Nominations are accepted throughout the state of Colorado. Those nominations are then set to judges that have be pick by the committee. Judges in the past have been fathers, pilots, ministers, family court judges, just to name a few.
The judges read through each nomination, pick their 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place winners. Those names are set back to me. I tally them up. If no consensus, I send the judges the top 3-4 nominees and ask them to pick from them. Once I have received their picks I put the names of the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners in a seal envelope that will not be open until the winners are announce at the event.
Each nominee finalist will receive a gift basket. Each winner will receive an award and a gift basket.
The event will have an MC and a keynote speaker. Some of our previous keynote speakers have been Kevin Knebl, Reggie Rivers, Ian Humphrey, and Dudley Thurmond.
We will have a silent auction, food, and other goodies. The event will also be video and have still shots of the event.
Each winner will be invited to appear on The Father Show to tell their story. We will send a press release to local newspapers and TV stations.
